A GOOD PLACE TO START
Questions, meet answers.
A few helpful details for every stage of your DNAObs journey.
How do I get started?
Download your raw DNA data from your testing provider, then choose Upload DNA Data on the homepage or open DNA Analysis. Select your file and follow the sign-in and checkout steps to start your analysis.
Which DNA files can I upload?
Raw exports from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA and Living DNA are supported, along with generic TXT, CSV, TSV and single-sample VCF files. Gzip and ZIP archives must contain one DNA file. The limit is 64 MiB after decompression.
Where can I find my saved reports?
Sign in to the account you used for your analysis and open Reports. Search by filename or use the filters to find your results. Each saved report has its own private link; opening that link requires the owning account.
What if my upload or analysis fails?
Check that you selected a raw DNA export rather than a PDF or screenshot, and that it meets the file-size limit. If the problem continues, send us the error message and the name of your testing provider using the form below.
Do I need to pay again if I already have access?
Sign in to the same account you used at checkout. If your account already has analysis access, the upload flow continues without another purchase. For payment questions, include your checkout email in your message.
Can my report diagnose a health condition?
DNAObs reports provide educational genetic insights. They do not diagnose cancer or other conditions, and available findings depend on the markers in your file. Discuss health-related findings with a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions.
