ChatGPT connector privacy

Effective September 8, 2026. This notice applies to the DNAObs public-guidance connector in ChatGPT.

What the connector receives

ChatGPT sends the arguments needed for the tool you use: a short guide-search phrase and result limit, a guide identifier, or an empty request for service availability. The connector does not request your account, email, DNA files, health information, private reports or complete conversation. Do not include personal or genetic information in a guide search.

Purpose and retention

Arguments are used to find public product guidance or return a live service availability estimate. The connector code processes them in memory for the request and does not write them to a database, analytics system or application log. There is no connector search history or stored user profile to delete. Public guides are fixed product content, not user records.

Recipients and infrastructure

Tool responses return to ChatGPT through OpenAI. The availability tool contacts only the fixed DNAObs status service; it does not forward search text. Hosting and network infrastructure may process routine connection metadata, including IP addresses, request paths and times, under their operational logging settings. OpenAI separately handles your conversation under its applicable terms and privacy controls.

Your controls

You can choose not to invoke the connector or disconnect it in ChatGPT. Account access, file uploads, private reports and analyses take place separately on the DNAObs website and are covered by the website privacy policy. This connector does not perform those actions.
